Macros Friday

I'm so happy that Macros Friday is here again. I woke up to a major annoyance today and I needed the Zen. One of my facebook "friends" decided to take it upon himself to alter and post one of my photos. The whole crap of "I love the shot, and it doesn't need to be changed" then why did I spend yesterday listening to you telling me how to edit my work. I tried to remain open to his suggestions, but his style is so opposite of mine. It really doesn't apply. Then this morning I woke up he had done two separate edits of the shot and publicly posted them without my permission. They were horrible, way over-processed. I was livid. Finally after a series of posts and message they were removed. His feelings are all hurt, but I was offended at his arrogance. So I guess that makes us even. Here is the photo in question.

He boosted the color so much that it looked like a cartoon. It was horrible.

But anyway the photos have been deleted, and the issue has been discussed. He's acting like a wounded puppy. Now must I remind him, I only know you on facebook. We have mutual real world friends, but he became my friend because I liked my photography. I don't think I've ever meet him in real life. If I have I don't remember.

Phew!!!!

Now with that off my chest. It's time for Macros Friday.

Here is another flower from my garden. I spend a lot of time photographing my yard. I recent quit smoking (again). So I have switched on addiction for another. So when I get stressed I set out and start taking photos. This is one of my hollyhocks. Like my daisies I started these from seed. I started with a few and have moved them all over the yard.

I think that guy is crazy. The photo in question is beautiful as is. He should keep his style to himself unless he's asked for an opinion! I love macro shot and I'm much the same with photography. It's been the only consistent hobby I've had in years and I dove in head first. I love it as much as you do.

Nice picture. Stopping by for Macro Friday and happy to see I'm not the only one who LOVES taking pictures of the flowers in my garden.

Wow! I guess people just don't know how to
Keep their opinion to themselves. I've not been into photography since long but I do know that people have different tastes and styles and that should be respected.
BTW,, great macro shot!

What a bummer someone is messing with your work. On the other hand, your macro shot is gorgeous! Very beautiful, indeed!

beautiful macro of the hollyhock. I recently bought some seeds that colour so that I can have some in my garden too. I too love to take photos rather than weed in my garden.

Oohhh, what a gorgeous shot! Photograhy is a much better habit, huh? And you're good at it! Lovely photo. :-)

Ugh, sorry to hear about that Facebook business. That would have reeeally bothered me! I love your shot of the tiger. I can just picture it overprocessed - yuck!

It is a sin to mess with the natural beauty and composition of that tiger shot. While its fine to boost some colors on some photos, I believe that the tiger looks fine the way he is.

I love your submission shot and the way you caught the pollen lying on the petal. Beautiful!

Thanks everyone. For you kind comments.

I've talked to the guy, it all good now. I find it funny he is always worried about someone altering his work, but he doesn't hesitate to do to others. He has had this other altercation with others. I just got all mommy on him, and pulled the what if someone did it to you. That seemed to register. He apologized and removed the photos. So we virtually hugged it out. But he's not allowed to tag my photos anymore.

I think that would make me livid, also. A photo you've taken is personal to you, and unless you give someone the permission to mess with it they should leave it alone. On a happier note I love the macro you did! :) Very pretty shot!

You're alway welcome. I wish my garden was as beautiful as it has been the past. I really miss my three sisters garden this year. We are in a transition right now and the garden has suffered. My herbs and flowers have persevered on though.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments and visiting my blog.
