Color Splash Sunday

Ohhhh!!! I'm so happy to find this challenge. I love to do selective coloring. You can take a ho-hum shot and make it something special.

Like any parent I love to take bath photos. Our bathroom is really kind of gross though. It is this outdated minty blue/green tile and the bath has a shell my hubby put up as a band-aid for leaking in the tiles. The only problem is that all the caulk he used turned color. So I usually shoot in B/W. The only problem with this is you loose the magic of the bright colored bath toys. One night I got these really well composed bokeh shots of my son playing with his Yo Gabba Gabba bath toys. I had been using this effect on some photos of my best friend's daughter's dance recital. I love how these turned out.

I love the effects of these. I didn't realize you shot in b/w...I always shoot in color and then convert to b/w. Very cool.

Thanks ladies.

Ashley, back in the day of film and college, I always loved to shoot in b/w. I do love the freedom to we have to convert now, and do it often. But actually shooting in b/w brings out that little grunge girl from college. It's fun bringing her out to play sometimes.

These are great! I don't usually like this technique - but this really works!

Thanks for entering! I do hope you'll enter more often.

These photos are great! I love the bright colors of the toys. I don't usually shoot in B&W; I convert later on. I'll have to try that one day.

Love the photos.

HEHE about turing the photos balck and white so you can't tell what the bathroom looks like. Shame it wouldn't work for a bath room that has stuff laying around everwhere...

Thanks everyone.

Mrs Mar--I use cropping and vignetting for that problem. LOL!!!!
